Microfishing

Anyone on here “microfishing” for teeny tiny fishes? I mean like for tiny fish species, not baby fishes of bigger species. I watched some youtube of people fishing for the tiniest fish with the tiniest rods, line, sinker, bobber, and of course the tiny hook. Further research led me to the origins of microfishing in Japan, they have been doing it for a thousand years. It looks so kewl and cute. I’m thinking of going super cheap on this endeavor. Instead of buying their “micro fishing lines” I opt for some sewing threads and do some test, and buy the smallest hook I can find either locally or online. Video for attention.

I have done it on super small pan fish. Primarily to ensure my young kids (at the time) got some action. The only problem I remember is finding the small hooks other than in variety packs. So I had by a bunch and only needed the two or so in the smallest size.
