Use the other hand and do a high-speed low-drag tactical-somersault-roll as you simultaneously hit the mag release to dump the empty on your way to your mag pouch for your combat reload. (Or; shift your grip).

Adjust your grip to hit the button. It's what I do for pretty much all my handguns. Sig p320 was only gun I was able to reach it without adjusting grip.

I’m a south paw and I leave my guns with the mag release on the left side (for you rightys) so I can hit it with my middle finger on my firing hand...

Uh huh, is too. It's uber tactical if you can come up with a blade in your hand as you dump the empty and slam home a fresh mag.
