If any of you folks are feeling Oklahoma is overcrowded may I suggest Nanuvat, Canada? I get curious about the most arbitrary things sometimes and found myself reading about Nanuvat Territory in NE Canada. Talk about remote! Picture an area 11.5 times the size of Oklahoma with a population of 38,000. Can’t imagine driving across Oklahoma 4 times and not seeing another single soul.

In the short summers, there is incredible fishing in some of the lakes. I've heard from some that have been on guide trips up there that it was one of the most beautiful, incredible places they have ever been.
But then it gets into a frozen wasteland the rest of the year.

It's not the cold, dark winters that keep folks away. It's the mosquitoes during the short summers lol

We've killed a couple of Canada geese that were band at a banding station in the Nunavut.

Visiting Northern Canada is on my bucket list, along with Iceland and some of those far NW towns in Greenland (such as this one Google Maps).
