I've had envious eyes on this since I was a kid. It finally jumped into my safe.
Smith and Wesson 617 (no dash) 8-3/8" barrel.
For those who don't know, it's a K-frame .22LR
I have a "matching" 686

It's so sexy, yet so silly.

Makes it easier to tell them apart in the safe!
But I might have to do that some day.

I just picked up a 1917 commercial in 45 acp. The only thing wrong besides honest wear is a later set of n frame stocks that are beat up. It cleaned up really nicely for such an old revolver.

I have a ton of 45 GAP that I bought for $10.99/box of 50 when targetsports had it on sale. I’ll get some moon clips and have at it soon to see how they run in this gun. I have a steel target set up at 50 yards that will get a workout.

I love me some vintage, pre lock revolvers over all others.

The speed loaders are marked “22K” for a 6 shot .22lr K frame.
