New Gun: Glock 17 or 19?

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a new range gun in the 9mm flavor. I know there are many many choices but I'd like to stay with Glock. Given those parameters, what are the advantages or disadvantages of the Glock 17 and 19 for range duty?

I have them both and for me they shoot the same. Both are just as accurate. One is just longer then the other.

Yeah, unless (like me) the 19 just sits better in your grip... Lot's of folks say they feel no difference.

I much prefer the 17 or 34 over the 19 for range use. The longer frame just fits my hand better.

There is no difference other than a slightly longer grip.

I prefer the 17/34 because of the longer grip and sight radius. I'd go with the G19 if you might carry it. Go with the G34 if it's just a range gun.

I have shot both and own the 19. I do prefer the 19. But like everyone is saying go with what feels right. I feel the 19 fits my hand better.

I like the 19. You can take it to the range...concealed...more easily. It does more, in my view.

Hi,

I too prefer the feel of the 19 (and also the carry flexibility of it). I would advise feeling both grips and going with the one you prefer.
