My FIL lost his battle with fu$#%*g cancer 9/15/14. He had already sold the majority of his guns. MIL asked me to check his gun safe. This flawless little jewel was hanging on the door with my name on it. He was a great man. I miss him dearly.

What a great guy. I wish I had a FIL like that.

Condolences to your family.

Take it from, every time you clean, shoot, or carry that Colt you will remember him. I know I do every time I carry my wife .45 Kimber that I bought for her, and after she passed away I let it sit for over a year, then one day Id decided I wanted to go shoot it, and it was what I needed at the time. I don't carry it everyday, but when I need a smaller .45 for deep concealment in the summertime, I wear it.

Thanks guys. Sometimes I go days even weeks witout opening my gun safe. Seems I'm opening it every night. Mostly I guess that the gun puts me closer to him. Plus....It's awfuly pretty itself.
