I have to share my new dove recipe with everybody. Normally I'll take a jalapeno, slice it length wise(taking out the seeds and membrane), and make up a mix of Sausage, rice, onion, bell pepper, Italian spices, and garlic.
I'll make a little mound on each pepper half, and put it on the smoker. Hour or so at 225.
This year, I took the first group of dove, and breasted them out, diced the meat into small pieces and mixed it with the sausage.
People that have stated "they won't eat dove" were putting them down like no other ;D Love it when a plan comes together
