Northern OK Eat and Shoot July 29th!

Well keep going north and if you run into Dorothy and Toto trying to hitch a ride home, you've gone too far. Turn around and head south till you get where that horse was found dead in the tornado of 73, and turn right. Head that way till you cross a couple of creeks and a barn or two. Eventually you'll come to a 4 way stop. Can't get lost here because the north and south roads have been closed because of Hwy work the last 2 years and the only choice is straight. In an hour or two, if you happen upon a Love's store or Baptist Church (can't go 10 miles in any direction without running into one or both) stop and ask where the heck you are.

You're in for a treat.........but you won't find any four way stop signs, the dead horse could still be there, the creeks actually have water this year....................and the highway actually runs northeast! If it rains, stay on the blacktop or white rock roads only.

Directions seemed pretty straight forward. If you are having that much trouble, maybe you need to pick up a few loaves of bread to leave a crumb trail.

They named all of the north/south roads after the counties in Okla.

Huh? East/West roads. North/South are numbered. And, the numbering system on google earth doesn't always match, in my experience. Apparently, they're still 'working on it,' like I-35 and I-40 in OKC.

I took the geographic coordinates directly from google earth. I wonder what happened.

All right folks. Put Renfrow, Oklahoma into your navigation devices, or find it on a map site or even a map. Just north of the town there is Logan Road. If you're coming in on 81, it is marked with a 'cemetery' sign pointing east. Go WEST to County Road 1000, then about a quarter of a mile further west, you'll see a white mailbox on the south side of the road. Just beyond the mailbox, is a driveway. Once there, you'll see a barn on the left, and the range is just to the south of the barn.

Oh good grief. Some people must use a map as toilet paper. That little red tear drop is the location. If you zoom in you can see the range. Do we need to meet in Renfro and hold hands the last half mile so no one is left behind?

Notice on this map the N/S road is 3000Rd. Some county employee may have put the incorrect sign up since Gerhard says it is 1000Rd. I used crayons on the map to help some of you out.
