Saw a few doe this morning in the rain. As I was about to walk to a stand this evening (later than I wanted), I got a picture from a camera a 1/4 mile away of the only pig that is a regular on the property. I went and sat at the feeder. 610 he came strolling in and my deer hunt turned into a pig hunt. Had a yearling doe come in afterwards.

Finally got one down. Probably my widest ever. Last year he was a 10 and it was always wrong place wrong time type of deal. Been trying to get the Lady on him but never showed in daylight until tonight. He’s a lot bigger in person and I wish I would’ve went after him sooner after seeing him lol. I couldn’t get my blind door open this morning so I went back to the hotel. Of course he was there in daylight this morning. So used some de icer and judo chops to get it open this afternoon. His glands were perfectly clean no smell. I did actually see some real chasing today though. 3 young ones on a doe like crazy. NW Oklahoma. View attachment 178645

Yesterday morning was perfect at 32f and no wind. Didn't see a single deer until I started walking. I found a young 6 point cornering a yearling doe like an experienced working horse. I watched them for a bit and saw them a few more times throughout the day. My buddy and I were frustrated with little deer sightings so we both picked completely new areas to randomly sit for the evening. He shot a buck at 20 yards and I shot a doe at 15'.

The buck showed up a week ago and I'm guessing he ran off every other buck because he's all that hit cameras across the property.

My daughter shot a doe earlier but the shot may have been a little low. We’re gonna wait a little longer and start the track. Looked like heart and then backside shoulder. Also the tip of the G5 Montec is bent. She snowplowed about 50 yards and was out of our sight.
