Congrats to your grandson toney !! Great buck and an epic smile !


I had one of the funnest evenings in the whitetail field tonight. At one point I had 9 does and 11 fawns and yearlings plus two small young bucks on the field I was watching. Have a stud that I've never seen before on camera the last two mornings and hope he's back through tomorrow. I have a Critically low supply of venison and have adopted a family in need through church. So I was going to try and harvest a doe. I got super lucky and got a double. I shot the first lone nanny at 365 yds the rest of the deer didn't bust so I ranged another at 412 so I adjusted and fired. Both neck shots on non alert broadside deer neither took another step. Had to spook the rest of the deer off the field too go get them. The 140gn Barnes ttsx out of the 7-08 ackley at 3115 was impressive.

Congrats too those that have harvested so far this season best of luck too those hitting the woods tomorrow and the rest of the season and happy thanksgiving everyone !!

I have nothing to lose. Forecast shows that the real rain won't pick up in NEOK until after noon. Unless it's pouring at 430 when I roll out of bed, I'm going to give it the college try tomorrow.

Was out this morning and evening, didn't see a thing. Checked the cam and still getting tons of pics anywhere between 8pm-Midnight on the 22nd & 23rd. But 0 pics on the 24th. I dont know whats going on this year, my buddy and his wife saw lots of does while hunting the other day, my buddy and I went all day today and neither one of us saw a thing.

Congrats Toney and 7stw!

My daughter and I sit in the same place I sit last night where I saw a couple dozen doe and two bucks. The field is in a L shape and the deer fed out to the east side instead of the North side, so we didn't have deer in range until 5:30. Wind was incredible, she braced herself on a shooting stick that was resting on a wooden fence post. Drilled her at 210y with a .280 140gr Accubond. I tried to get on some of the other doe at 300y when they stopped to see what was going on, but I couldn't hold steady on them due to the wind, even with a fairly good rest. After she shot hers, there were 3 bucks after a couple of doe about 800y out but I couldn't tell what kind of racks they had, too dark out. I could just see large dark bodies chasing smaller lighter bodies lol.
