Well, I'm going to an event in Louisiana in about 3 weeks, that will probably have 2 to 3 thousand people in attendance. But it's an outdoor event, & it's a private event.
I heard from the man putting this event on that all these bans & regulations on gatherings don't apply to private events, only public.
He said there is no way the state can keep him from letting his friends onto his land, & that his event is not going to be cancelled or postponed.

Yeah I'm supposed to go to one in Townsend, TN in mid April, a couple thousand in attendance and just over in Pigeon Forge there's a huge car show, with thousands of folks from across the country. Both are outdoors. It's only a recommendation by the CDC, so it's up to the person putting on the event.

Like it or not, this has became a political issue in an election year.
If a Politician doesn't get on board with the insanity, they will likely lose their office if it gets out of hand, but if it is contained early or is just a dud, they will still get pats on the back for being proactive.
I've thought about this as well. Trump's strongest argument for re-election is the economic prosperity of the country. The Democrats and the MSM would gladly sacrifice the economy to keep Trump from being re-elected. Hence, the MSM panic coverage of the virus and the resulting destruction of the economy.

And ya wonder why the government is trying to step in...

SMH. :rolleyes2:
My son and daughter-in-law have been planning a trip to Florida for a year. Was suppose to leave next week. We were going to watch my grandson Rocky III but they didn't want to take a chance of bringing something back to Mother and I so they postponed it. The airline was okay with that. We are both in the high risk category. The point is some people choose self gratification and some choose self preservation .

Ya'll be sure to check back frequently and let us know how these events turn out, please include estimated attendance figures. I'm really interested in how this is going to turn out.

I’m guessing these places can be forced to close since they all must be licensed by the state for health purposes. It’s likely something they agreed to when they applied and received licensing.

My God people......It's only the flu.....comes ever fall and late spring....

...And if you listen to the CDC ...it is not as bad as the media...hypes this up.

Wash your hands, ....don't touch your face....

IT'S ONLY THE FLU...and a mild strain at that....Stop the insane world is ending.
It’s very hard to tell if you’re kidding, trolling or simply misguided here

Before this is over the federal reserve will create trillions of dollars in helicopter money and the .gov will give everyone in America a $1,000 stimulus cash.
When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Gotta borrow more money to spend our way outta the hole. Worry about paying it back later. It will all crash eventually and the longer we delay it and kick the can down the road, the worse it is going to hit.

Don't care whether people believe this is good or not, the government shouldn't have this much control. We have lost our minds.

It's to make it easier to replace capitalism with socialism. It's coming our way, folks. Keep your powder dry!

(I wonder how long it will be before the leftist/socialist/Democrats blame the spread of the virus on gunpowder fumes ...)
