OH man Skunk smell!

I know you can wash a dogs mouth out with soap.
Did that with a Lab that liked to eat human poop. Duck hunting for 2 weeks in the woods and that dog wanted to be your friend.
Face licking you know.
I was bathing in some ice water and the dog tried to run off with my clothes and I called him into the frozen water. I had ivory bar soap sitting on the ice.
When the dog got to me I washed his mouth out with a lot of sudsy ivory..He liked it!
No more poop breath.

Yea I know Poop cleans off much better than skunk spray.
I got one of my live traps baited also.
We will see if it left or wants to go another round in the morning.

I have (and had) the great joy of getting my dogs sprayed every couple of years. Vet has the best stuff in the world for it in a shampoo but, in a pinch, cover the dog's fur with mud. Let it dry then wash it off. Mud absorbs the oil better than any other home remedy I've seen.
