Oh No, TERMITES!!!

We had them at our last house. Repaired the entry way ourselves and had it professionally treated.

Just sold my mom's house and didn't have termites, had carpenter ants.

Termites always announce their presence, just inspect each year. It cost $100 to get an inspection and thats cheap insurance.
That said, I had an inspection last summer and they did find pinholes in the sheetrock in a bedroom. I paid them $800 to professionally treat the entire house. I used Tactical Pest control out of Newcastle and was real pleased.
