My understanding is the concealed license would suffice, I hope

Actually came here to try to find out about this. People are usually baffled when I use it though. Guess the average person never sees them.

Usually don't break out the passport unless it is getting a stamp. Been too long since I've added any.

States rights trump this BS. This should go to the supreme court and be overturned. The fed can't pass a law that infringes on state laws without a constitutional amendment. This is an end run to establishing a federal ID system, which will serve to further erode states rights as well as serve as a way to grant illegals amnesty without actually granting them amnesty.

I hate to break it to you, but the States have not had any rights since May 09, 1865.

An unrealistic, over-weening concept of States rights was nullified in 1865. I agree with your feelings about the matter, but really they gonna do what they gonna do.

I forgot about those special cases. NAS Pensacola is another that will let civilians on with a valid ID, for the Naval Aviation Museum. The catch is it only allows you to transit from the gate, to the museum and then off base...at least that was the rule at PCola. If you're issued a military ID, it is expected that you use it. For instance, I left my CAC in the computer at the schoolhouse in PCola on day when I left for lunch. The gate guard almost didn't let me in because I was in uniform, have a base sticker and SHOULD have had a CAC card. I had my DL and my restricted area access badge, but that doesn't fly. The same goes for Tinker. If I leave my CAC behind, my DL or flightline access badge won't get me on base, despite the latter being a badge that grants more secure access than the CAC. A state DL, or anything other than a military/federal ID, won't get you on to Tinker and most other bases that lack an attraction. Exceptions are made for airshows and when being escorted by someone with on-base privileges, of course.

...sorry for the pretty OT explanition. I just didn't want someone upset at the gate (backing up traffic and making me later for work, haha) because a DL didn't get them on

If you leave your CAC card at your desk, someone has to bring it to the gate and hand it to you so you can get on base.

As expected:

http://www.krmg.com/news/news/local/oklahoma-receives-real-id-extension-through-octobe/nn3pN/

•Oklahoma will have until 10/10/2016 to comply with the REAL ID Act
•State drivers licenses will still be accepted by federal agencies for the duration of the extension

Governor Mary Fallin and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety announced Wednesday that Oklahoma has received an extension through October 10, 2016, to meet the requirements in the REAL ID Act.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security informed the state in a letter that “for the duration of this extension, Federal agencies may accept Oklahoma-issued drivers’ licenses and identification cards for official purposes in accordance with the phased enforcement schedule and existing agency policies.”

So what happens next Oct? Another extension?

I don't see us changing out every drivers license in the state in a year...
