I don't know that I see what the problem is.

So, the mag doesn't drop completely free of the mag well when you push the button...how is that a problem?

If you're competition shooting and need to be able to drop the mag with one finger while the other is reaching for your next mag (because seconds count), I guess I could see the issue. In that case, spend the 30 bucks to get yourself a different mag, sure.

Turn the gun upside down, and see how far each mag slides in under it's empty weight. That might also help identify if and where a problem area is on the mag.

I will hijack my buddies thread since it is 1911 magazine related. I got some of the slim base pads for my 47d mags and it makes a pretty significant difference from the .350 pads.
