Besides my wife just texted me and said she's not retiring tonight.

And she's staying with one nut...what a gal!

Maybe they didn't "let" him leave. I got up and walked out of a hospital without so much as a "howdy-do" once. Drove myself home after surgery on my rotator cuff. Good God that nurse pissed me off!

They called my house the next day wanting me to come back and sign my release papers so they wouldn't get in trouble. Pfft ...

We did that once. My wife had outpatient. Dumb ass doctor checked the admit box on post op. Took me two hours to find her after they called and told me she was in recovery. Finally had them page her doctor. She was in another wing in a room. After two more hours we walked. The nurse that checked us in at six that morning saw us walking out. She asked my wife if we needed a chair. My wife said "we already walked across the whole hospital, not gonna do any good now" we were about 30 feet from the door.
