Didn't we se a similar issue involving felons at a gun show last year in the news? I've known of two felons caught with guns, neither was prosecuted and it sure didn't make the news, of course neither case highlighted the dangers of the "gun show loophole".
There was a similar issue. The LEO working security at the door recognized some prison tats on one of the guys and followed them outside to verify vehicle and called it in IIRC.
The video showed where they got their info but I can't get it to come back up, can you?

I think I remember this case. If you have gang tattoos and especially on your face don't buy a gun in front of a police officer that has arrested you in the past.
How do you get by with this when filling out a 4473?
You could never be in law enforcement could you? You best leave this detective work to the trained professionals.
