The "victim" is a board member of cair out of tulsa.

He was ejected for being beligerent, not being moooslim.

They have a good atty that has defended this exact thing successfully for another range.

Their sign is protected speech.

Never been. Of course the owner should be allowed to ban Muslims, or do any other damn thing he wants to with his business that doesn't hurt other people... it's HIS business.

Unfortunately federal law (the Civil Rights Act) is in opposition to this freedom, so the lawsuit will be successful and will almost certainly result in an order to take down the signs and probably pay some restitution to the "victim" and some punitive damages to the Feds.

We had a thread or two on this back when it happened. Yet another rehash of a common argument we have on here between the folks who believe in freedom of association, and those who believe it is OK to threaten people with force to make them more tolerant.

We should make a bonafide religion centered around guns. Church of the Dirty Harry.

"Unfortunately"?

It's unfortunate to you that when business owners choose to conduct business with the public that they do so without prejudice?

Say a firefighter with a private fire department or an ER surgeon at a private hospital denies you help simply because you're Christian. Is that okay?

Is a firefighter or surgeon running a business that I choose to deal with, or are they employees of a public entity? Big difference.

Not so sure what or where "BFE" Oklahoma is but I'm about 20 miles away --and we do take our business serious. Haven't checked this range out yet

Pardon me please. No offense meant, I was talking about the amount of business this gun range place is able to draw, not saying the folks down there don't take their business seriously. "Serious" was not a good word to use; let's say "a substantial amount" in its place okay?

This was just destined to become a legal test case. Unless the owner is a complete nimrod, he had a legal advocacy group lined up before he hung that sign. So, now we'll see which advocacy group has the better team and watch it make its run to the US Supreme Court. This isn't going to be about right/wrong or legal/illegal. It will be an activist battle that will ultimately turn out sadly for our freedoms.
