Oklahoma bill(SB 859) increasing penalties for firearm thefts moves forward

Senate Bill 859 would increase the maximum prison term from two years to five years and increase the maximum fine from $1,000 to $2,500 for the theft of a firearm.
First. I cant believe its that weak to begin with.
Second. Marginally more harsh but still weak AF

Need to add a couple of 0s to both the time and amount.
More feel good legislation. Will change nothing.
Enforce what is the books and quit turning the criminals loose.
Noon, Saturday hangings on the courthouse square would solve a lot of problems.
