'Oklahoma purge' threat: Serious or silly?

It’s an Internet threat making its way around the country, and now it’s hitting Oklahoma, says KOCO, in the form of an Internet flier calling for the “Oklahoma purge.”

It’s in reference to the 2013 movie by the same name where all crime, including murder, is legal for one night, and, according to the flier, the Oklahoma purge will take place on Aug. 30 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Aug. 31. Oklahoma City police said they are aware of the flier and are monitoring the situation.
