The CZ 75 compact models are great litte DA/SA 9mm guns, but I wouldn't call them sub-compacts. They may be a little bigger and heavier than you're looking for. They're roughly the size of a G19.

I've had my eye on a CZ for a while, but yes, a little too big for what I'm wanting. I already carry a PX4 compact, but wanting something a bit smaller for pocket carry. If I could find one I would love a PX4 sub-compact, but no body has them anymore.

I kinda think the Px4 line was discontinued, but not certain? Durn shame, I have a Px4 I'd probably sell or trade, but it's full size.

We are living in some awesome days right now as far as micro 9 pistols go. There is a plethora of choices out there. Some of my favorites, in no particular order...

Glock 43
Ruger LC9/EC9
Kahr CM9
M&P Shield
Beretta Nano

Or, a good ol Smith and Wesson J frame revolver carries well. Lots of choices, young man, LOTS of choices.

Yep, lots of choices. Size, caliber, brand, functions. I have been keeping an eye out for another Sig P238 .380 for a while without success. My reasons and needs might be different than yours. I suggest shooting as many different ones as you can in person, then make a choice depending on all the other factors involved.

P239's seem to show up nore than the .380s. Bersa .380 Thunder is much larger than a Sig 239 9mm but has less mass for recoil than the p238 for example, I suggest you spend some time looking and trying as many first hand to see what fits "your" idea of a pocket pistol. Like holsters, I have tried more than one to build my collection of firearms I do not shoot much..

Food for thought. I came across a Taurus ultra-lite, 8 shot, 17hmr. Adjustable sights. Slide it in a front pocket, almost forget it's there.
I know I'll catch some grief for the caliber but 20 grains of hornady ballistic tip at 2k fps is comforting. Did I mention it holds 8 of them.

Might be alright if you can get 8 shots off...maybe
Pocket gun and I can only get 1 shot off it's going to be J frame 357 magnum. Anymore will just be bonus.

I'm wanting a good pocket pistol, but I'm picky. As many of the regs here have seen me say I prefer DA/SA over striker fire. Unfortunately the options that are available for sub-compact in DA/SA (not interested in DA only with a striker) are minimal. Right now I'm either gonna have to save for a Kimber Micro9 or step down a caliber and get something like a Bersa Thunder in .380. Any suggestions? I would prefer to stay with a 9mm as ammo is a bit more available (plus I already have that ammo ) but the price tag on the Micro9 is a bit high for my budget.
