Kill the coyotes.

It worked great at Westheimer Airport; they got rid of the 'yotes and the rabbit population got so bad they decided the dogs were less of a problem. To this day, there's a Notice to Airmen advising of the coyotes on field.

Look back to the start of this thread. Hinging trees is currently the accepted practice for rabbits and ground birds like quail. Gives them a chance to evade overhead predators and dodge predators like coyotes and bobcats.
I ran beagles for many, many years when rabbits were thick, typically in brush piles.
We filled many freezers back in the day.
