I have "The Alarm Group", and have been very happy with their monitoring, and the one service call they needed to make.

Yes, stay away from Guardian, they are a nightmare of a company. I had similar problems, not to mention the fact when my alarm was set off either nothing happened(no call or police response) or they would call both me and my wife four times or more before dispatching someone. We have Vivint now and love it.

My parents have vivint as well as their neighbor. They love it as well. I have used it while there and they were always very responsive. I accidentally set the smoke alarm off while cooking one time and they sent a fire truck immediately because I didn't answer their call. I had to call and tell them to call it off. Luckily they didn't get billed for it. They have great customer service and the service works.
