Review of Dick's Sporting Goods Soft Opening

I was sad when Sports Unlimited (i think that was the name of it) on memorial road closed. That place was awesome.

I stopped by the BA Dick's just because it was easy to get off the highway there as I was going past. Not particularly impressed and decidedly underwhelmed I must say. I can say I'll continue to visit Academy Sports, Sportsworld and other like places (maybe even occasionally Bass Pro).

All I can see that might rarely get me back into Dick's is some of their apparel, if its something I cannot find elsewhere.

Thats mostly what Ive always bought from them and Academy.....golf clothes and Under Amour type apparel.

They run Remington Gun Clubs for $40 a case after mail in rebate. Best shell for the $$ anywhere.

Dick's is much worse than Academy.

I went into a Dick's in Dallas a few years ago for the first time. I haven't been back.


I wish we would get a Big 5 here in OKC.

Sportsworld beats these box stores, and they have great prices on tons of guns.

Yep. I have NO idea why people even step into these chain stores for firearms, then wonder why the people behind the counter have no clue.
