OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. —Oklahoma City police said robbers pistol-whipped and bound a couple during a violent attack at the Highlands Apartments in northwest Oklahoma City early Friday morning.

The couple’s neighbor, William Kowall, said the couple knocked on his door for help. Kowall called 911 and stayed with them until police arrived.

“I noticed that his head had been split,” Kowall said. “He was like, ‘We’ve been robbed,’ and she was like, ‘They’ve got guns.'”

He said the couple had just moved into their apartment about a week before. He said the young man had just graduated from college.

The woman told police she was getting out of her car when the group of robbers pulled a gun on her.

Police said the robbers stole three televisions, a wallet, cellphone and at least 20 pairs of expensive sneakers.

The couple has since moved out of the apartment. Police have not made any arrests.

A few years ago I lived not too far from there, had a weird feeling something was up so bought my 12 gauge 870 clone. Not two nights later had someone knocking on the door at 3am. . . was a woman and seemed to be casing the place cause someone in one of the bedrooms heard someone outside when I opened the door, woman said she needed to use the phone to order a pizza. Sad to see things like this happen.
