Seriously, if the Red Label can get reintroduced, why not the 96/44 or 99/44? I think the takedown option would make those very desirable(though it might be tricky to incorporate on the 99, the 96 seems like it ought to be easy peasy).

If they could be produced at an American MSRP instead of a M77 MSRP I bet they would fly off the shelves. The 96 might even lend itself to expanded rimfire options, RAR style, down the road. They could even market these with the Super Blackhawk/Redhawk revolvers or a SR44M(imaginary vaporware) semi auto pistol as sidearm companions to these rifles. Higher capacity magazine options for the rifles couldn't hurt, either.:wink2:
