To clarify my rut report, we have a terrible buck to doe ratio. The bucks don't have to go far to find another doe to breed, so they IMHO stay in rut longer vs an area that has a better ratio of bucks to does, where they run out of does pretty quickly.
That is just my opinion with no scientific data to back it up. Just personal observation and maybe too much thinking.
