Sounds good, I responded and asked him for his FFL's information. I'll talk to the FFL and move forward from there.

I have to figure out payment stuff too without being screwed around. Its the Golden Quail..so there's a few dollars on the line.

Just for curiosity, why would someone NOT accept from an individual to an FFL? Is there a real reason, or just their arbitrary policy?
Arbitrary policy. I'd guess that it's just risk mitigation on the part of the FFL; if it's coming from another dealer, it's less likely that the ATF will come knocking on their door about it.

FWIW, it has been almost 20 years since I shipped a gun, but when I did, all I needed was a copy of the receiving dealer's FFL. And to find a UPS employee who understood the actual shipping policies; the first one tried to tell me that only dealers could ship guns...
