I do not know if I am just getting cheap in my old age or if shipping charges are getting to be nuts. Thought about ordering 500 lead bullets in but refuse to pay $14.50 just for shipping. Guess Midway does not know about postal flat rate.

Oh well, anybody wanting 38 cal lead HP semi-wadcutters, Midway has them in. Good bullets for liter loads.

As a individual the flat rate for a medium box is $15.05. I know i hate paying it as well but they not out of line with other bullet places i checked on was charging $16 and more for 500 cast bullets.
And do you have to have the HP's if not you might try this site they are a little cheaper and I have had no problems with their bullets. https://missouribullet.com/showcart.php?cartid=1387853

I received an email from Midway the other day that said "free shipping." Don 't know if it's still in effect but...

Last free shipping email I had ended yesterday. Rick if you don't have to have that exact bullet. Check out these coated 158s. Shipping is $7.50 on 500

Thanks but I have a lot of plain semi-wadcutters. But those hollow points make good self defense loads at lower velocities. If I buy some it will be to make loads for the wife's snubby. I have used them for years and had pretty good results.

Guess Midway does not know about postal flat rate.

OR, they have no desire to needlessly upset the Feds, whom I'm sure they are regulated by, to break the postal regulations by shipping their ammunition by postal flat rate.

UPS ships it via ground freight, but they always charge by the pound, or box volume so they don't get stuck shipping a refrigerator box full of pillows for $3.
