I don't think the dude was gay. I think he was an ignorant, racist, redneck prone to wild fantasies but not gay. I imagine these two became friends at work like a lot of other people. The guy who got shot was probably a lot nicer than most for even giving redneck the time of day. As their friendship grew and they became more comfortable with each other, redneck probably revealed more about who he truly is and the other guy decided he didn't want to be friends with a crazy person.
Could be,..could be. Would have to be pretty messed up to shoot someone for telling you to stop texting though. Probably had other underlying issues nobody knows about.

I thought redneck1861 was just a troll account.
Trolls tend to be high on a trait we call need for belongingness (also called need for relatedness). Ironically, trolls tend to troll under the assumption that this will get attention/laughs and that attention/laughs will garner the social interaction needed to fulfill that need for belongingness; but instead the trolling ends up driving people away which has the opposite consequence (referred to as need dissatisfaction). That is, trolling is intuitively considered a friendly social interaction, but the nonintuitive result is often ostracizing and loneliness.

Deep psychological waters in that one...

Unless somebody else has seen something, the "radio silence" this morning on this story was interesting, at least on the Oklahoman website.

Wow again. I've read a few of the post that have been attached to this thread, and I think all of them ended with the consensus this kid had issues. None more than attachment 82682.
The guy was going to go off at some point. He needed extensive mental health treatment.
I'm very sorry for the family of the victim.

It makes me wonder about the efficiency of the screening protocols used for hiring *security* guards. You know, the ones empowered to carry a firearm in the line of duty.

Or are casino security guards not allowed to pack heat?
