Silver marks on gun.

So I was handling my parkarized 1911 last night without taking off my silver ring.

It looks like silver from the ring has marked my gun, they look like scratches, but I know they are not.

What is the best way to remove these markings without damageable the finish of the gun?

You favorite oil or CLP of choice and 0000 steel wool. Lightly buff the marks away. The 0000 steel wool won't harm the park finish so long as you don't use extreme pressure. But if you afriad of the steel wool, then pick up some bronze wool as it's more delicate. I think some of the ace hardwares carry it.
