Curious to see others experience.

I have a shield plus in 30 super carry with optic cut. One of the first things I noticed was that the optic didnt sit flush. I tried 3 optics and all had the same results. Even the slide cover plate does not sit flush.

The problem is there's so much difference front to back that I don't have ebough adjustment to sight in my optic.

I sent the gun back to them for evaluation and they sent it back with no change. In their description of what they did they didnt even check the issue.

I decided to bust out the calipers. I found there was .02" of taper from front to back. However it appears around where the screw holes are there's an even higher spot.

Has anyone else had an issue with a shield optic cut?

Also, the machining on the cut is terrible. Embarrassing on their part that they would send a product out like this.

I'd call them for a return tag again. No way that's right. I guarantee that optic is going to fly off or fail at some point.

It looks like you are trying to direct mount the 407k and you need an adapter plate for that red dot to mount properly.

You need taller iron sights if you’re wanting to co-witness with the red dot.

I have the updated cut that does not have the posts in the back. A mounting plate is not necessary.
I expect the machining to be better than this. Seems my glocks and sigs are all smooth. Lots of tool marks here
