Can’t see the tail, but the pattern on its back looks like a Western Daimondback Rattlesnake. Head shape looks right too. The shadow it’s in obscures the scale over the eyes that I think is there. Kind of gives them a frowning, mad look, to me.

So what was the outcome story?

Found it in the shop staring down the rabbit that lives there. So for now the snake resides in my coffee table. Release at a later date.

Whatever work for ya, but those cracks between those boards are way too big for me to feel secure with keeping a rattleheadedcoppermossican in my living room.

In fact, a solid welded 1/2” steel cube isn’t secure enough either, as long as the viper in question is among the living. Geez.
