Where are you getting the shiners? Last time I tried to buy some around there they were tough to find.

You can get the at Suchys Bait in Purcell they sell them by the pound or gallon.

I might be taking off and heading down there this weekend. Apparently there is a decent lure and topwater bite in the shallows around the islands. Probably around sun up and sun down.

We have been doing top water right out of caney creek using chug bugs and I would get started around 6
:15 and you can get plenty of fish over 20"

Its always fun to read the fishing reports from this website. Most of the guys posting on this site are guides that are on the water every day. So you get some constant updates. Not just weekenders heading out for some fish.

I take it you think I am just a weekender which Im not I am a full time Guide there
