After further research I believe this lawsuit is going to be heard in district court. I have no idea which judge as I can't find his/her name.

This is why I'm suspicious of the judges intentions. It's scheduled for just 2 or 3 days before the law goes in to effect.

I was trying to find his name and party affiliation. But not having any luck.
The case will be heard by County District Judge Don Andrews. Nonpartisan incumbent.

Just because they aren't required to state party allegiance during the election doesn't mean they're non partisan.
I'm still trying to dig a little deeper to see what I can come up with.
Judge Don Andrews is the one that blocked the new abortion law that was to go in effect on Nov 1st.
