I know this is crazy talk, but it seems to me the solution is pretty simple. Stop giving hundreds of millions a year to Mexico and Venezuela and billions a year to the Keep Europe Afloat Fund. These staunchly socialist countries look down their nose at us and disparage us continually on the world stage. Yet as they break down under the weight of their oh so proudly held entitlement systems we are deciding to subsidize their cushy nonsense cradle to grave life. They brag at how smart they are as we pump money into them to keep the non-sustainable existence propped up. Frankly, I'm tired of subsidizing their arrogant ways. I guess they are smart. They have us borrowing trillions so we can give them billions all the while we are being sucked down with them as they circle the drain. In the mean time we are being told we have to suck it up, pay lots more in taxes, have our social programs (meager by Euro standards as it is) cut and possibly in the not too distant future surrender part or all of our retirement portfolios. Europeans are very quick to say our ways are inferior to theirs, yet here we are fueling there system with our own labor.

How about that 16 trillion bailout...

The audit of the Fed’s emergency lending programs was scarcely reported by mainstream media – albeit the results are undoubtedly newsworthy. It is the first audit of the Fed in United States history since its beginnings in 1913. The findings verify that over $16 trillion was allocated to corporations and banks internationally, purportedly for “financial assistance” during and after the 2008 fiscal crisis.

I figured it out on paper the other day and I am paying close to 50 percent taxes on my income. That's half of what I make. That's working till July before I can see any real money in my pocket. That really sucks.

Here, but occasionally There.
I'll add one to the ideas for cutting spending...

....stop funding the United Nations.

In fact, let's tell New York to impound the vehicles that haven't had parking tickets paid on them and let the city sell them to get their money. Kick the diplomats out and tell them to find a new home and turn the UN building into a parking garage.

That's just for a start. I imagine I can come up with more.

All good ideas folks but lets go further and cut out all government waste, over duplication and just plan un-needed government agencies and save hundreds of billions every year according to the GAO.
