Seeing how you guys are starting threads about picking up mounts from this yr, Id like to share with you why I have not been on this forum much, lol
My advice to anyone having a trophy mounted..
I see a lot of mounts on here that I wouldn't pay 100$ to have hung on my wall, quality is horrible, look beyond the rack, does it look like he did when you killed him? Does it look like a live deer in a picture ? Do your research!! look at the guy/gals work you're thinking about using. You are the one that has to look at that deer on the wall forever...
You get what you pay for!
Anyway I'll get off my soap box..lol

First detachable antlers I'd ever seen were on a caribou, couldn't believe they got that through the door until the owner explained it. He's also been known to rotate the antlers in strange positions, makes for good conversation, lol.
