Actually, it was the same answer for all three questions. In matters of State, it really should be irrelevant. The rest of my post adequately addressed my feelings on the subject.![]()
I agree with you that religion and race should not enter in to matters of state in America, but let's quit lying by saying it doesn't. What is our unwavering support of Israel based on and who in our Gov./population are pushing it? It's based on "Judeo-Christian values" that are questionable at best and contrary to each other in doctrine, and the supremacist belief that one race is "chosen".
What was the founding of Israel, most contend it was prophesy that had to be fulfilled to bring the rest of theirs and Christianity's to fulfillment, how did it happen?, through war and terrorism, look what it's done to the region, why should we continue to support it?
What kind of ally has Israel been to us? Show anywhere it has helped America and not cost us. And could it be true that involvement and picking sides in a long standing religious conflict along with all the other meddling we've done in that part of the world is part of why we're a target now?
It doesn't make sense that the right is supporting Israel(given it's socialist roots) and specifically Netenyahu for political reasons and sending bunches of our tax dollars to support things they fight against here like nationalized healthcare and a large welfare load. It's well known in Israel that Netenyahu gives out welfare for political support just like it's said Obama does.
"With heavy lobbying from ultra-Orthodox parties that often prove crucial in forming government coalitions, Israel has increased welfare payments fivefold since 1970, while the standard of living has doubled, he said.
Nearly a decade ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was then finance minister, won praise for slashing welfare payments, including monthly per-child allowances. But last year Netanyahu, in a nod to his right-wing coalition partners, agreed to nearly double some child allowances".

We call Israel a democracy but when you have a Chief Rabbinate as a state position and religious courts with control over peoples lives how is that so different than the Muslim countries, Just because it's a different religion that we like better?
Let's also remember those growing and seeking power in Israel believe and might well want to make everyone follow the O.T. stuff, some of it much like Islam.

The founding fathers formed this nation to be free of religion in politics, is it?
Washington said; “The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political connection as possible", pretty clear there's lots of political connections between the U.S. and Israel and that it's cost us much, maybe if we could find out just how many in our Gov. have dual citizenship we'd realize how many connections there are. Funny how so many are disturbed that Obama may be Muslim when there can be no religious test for office but we have no problem with people that may owe allegiance to another nation running our Gov.
I am not against fighting terrorism but we should look at it differently because even some of our experts say we're doing it wrong and it's costing us and dividing us, and I am against a war based on or clouded by religion that ignores political realities, yes all the terrorist are radical Muslims but not all Muslims are radicals or terrorist
On the other hand let's say the opposite is true and it's all Muslims, so what should we do make Islam illegal, force conversions, round them up and deport them? It's said we can't deport the illegals so could we deport the Muslims? Should we just kill'em all and let God sort it out like good Christians? And while we're at it should we take Muhammad's image down from the wall in the Supreme Court building?
