Coming back to Tulsa from Wichita missed the Highway 412 exit, because of construction.

Made a U-Turn at the I 35, Perry exit.

So why is there a Tesla Super Charge station in Perry, Oklahoma?

So Hipsters can make it from Wichita to OKC to Dallas to Austin and think they're saving the planet using their coal fired electric vehicles.
Your half right. The distances between major cities dictate placement of additional charging stops. We are looking at an Tesla X but not because we are saving the planet. We test drove one in Dallas a few weeks ago and they are fast!!

Coal fired plants produce less emissions than cars for a given amount of energy produced.
True and even better if you have solar on your house. Makes the emissions effectively zero once the car and panels are made. Tesla's batterys have a thermal management system that will allow them to last much longer than the average engine. The motor will last even longer than that with little maintenance. A $100,000 Tesla should cost less than a new Honda Civic long term with a whole lot less emissions even using coal for electricity.

Well Hell! Why don't we just make coal power cars and eliminate the middle man? And all the upkeep on the transmission lines? And the cost of putting up charging stations?
