I take every scientist with a grain of salt. They make their living from the US taxpayers in the form of grants. If they don't show results, they don't get another grant to continue the research.
I'm sure this has resulted in many skewed "results"

I believe the scientists when they arrive at a conclusion that I agree with like radiation is good for you.
It's only when they arrive at a conclusion that I disagree with, like global warming, that I don't believe them.
I just pick and choose my science day by day.
