Our driest spell since 1921 and the farmers are having fits. Been in the 100+ range 5 days already. Just too much, too soon. Really need some rain.

Man I feel for you guys. We have been hit pretty hard but nothing like you guys in SW OK. We still have wheat to cut although it will be quite a bit less than half of normal. Got lucky and got 1.6" yesterday, almost forgot what thunder sounded like. It was the first big rain we have had since June of 10'. It really hacks me off to hear people ***** about flooding and severe weather in eastern OK. At least you can still make a living when it's wet. When it's too dry there is no hope beyond calling your banker. Takes years to recover from a drought but only weeks to recover from flood.

Don't know if you are involved in agriculture but has any cotton gone in down there?
