I see there's still an exemption for farmers "tracking" predators. I'm betting private land prices go through the roof now.

The division also made an adjustment to allow farmers or ranchers to continue to be able to use transmitting cameras to aid in removing cougars or bears that might prey on their livestock even during the hunting season.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if fancy suit wearing board members don't see anything wrong with forking over a fistful of dollars to go on a guided big game hunt. Oh but being told/shown where to go by the guide is more righteous than the common man running half a dozen trail cameras.

I don't know if Utah allows high fence game farms and hunting outfitters to stack a new group of hunters in blinds every 5 days during season or not. I know Oklahoma does and that is more detrimental to native population of wild game than trail cameras. Where is CWD found in Oklahoma? Captive herds in high fences.

If I’m not mistaken, I think you can run cameras in Iowa up until season starts, then it is illegal to have them in the field.
