Weak Link on Gen 3, Gen 4 Glock

As far as the full size, compacts, the and subcompact Glocks go, like the 17, 19, and 26 go, I think the weakest link in the pistol is the trigger spring. I have had ONE (1) break on me and I've owned a Glock since 1995. What do you all think? And I don't wanna hear no noise about the weak link being the whole gun or the shooter from the cheap seats now either.

Nice thing about that being the weakest link (which I agree it is), is that it doesn't deadline the pistol. You just have to manually reset the trigger.

My 1992 G19 came with the atrocious New York trigger spring so I have no real opinion because my normal trigger spring is only 300 rounds old

Never have had an issue that caused my glock pistols to go INOP. I trust 'em.

I don't. I just keep a spare handy, just in case.

The Firing pins have broken. They are MIM. Nothing has broken on my 5 Glocks, save an aftermarket trigger.

I have never seen a single broken OEM fp.

The sights. I if couldn't do better I'd just sell them without and let the customer put their own on since everyone has to anyway.

I'm surprised it took 11 posts before the 1911 argument came up.


Only failure I've had over many years with multiple Glocks is a trigger spring. And I agree on the stock sights, they suck.
