She tried to run, I caught her.
She has no DL, car has temp tags. I got her VIN number anyways.
She bailed before the police showed, they came about 5 minutes after she left and said I covered myself and will have no issue.

That really sucks when they aren't even insured most likely. It will still cost you in the long run if you turn it into your insurance.

You are not fine. I was hit in the rear in 97. No problems for 2 years, started having headache's. Every vertebrae in my neck is bulging, sheath around my spine is tore and herniated disks in my lower back.

Hopefully you have collision insurance. She clearly is uninsured, but it shouldn't count against you.

She gave me her insurance policy number through Geico but I dont have much faith in it. I'll call them tomorrow and see what happens. The policy she showed me was for a Nitro, she was in an Equinox with temp tags.
