Ok...has anybody actually done their very own wildcat cartridge? I mean...make it from scratch of your own design. Not one you saw elsewhere, but from your brain to your gun.

What was it...and why did you decide to make one?

Surely there's at least a few who have!

Close but never went all the way through the process. 338/350 rem mag. The 338 RCM came out not long after I started getting serious about it.

Well, since you mention it, I did develop....well I never built the gun....but I built the cartridge.....yeah forget I mentioned it. I gave up on the 6.5 CreedLESS.

No but, I would like to see an affordable rifle in an old caliber that H&K submitted to US trials to replace the 50bmg. I think it was a 9x110mm. I believe it shot a lot flatter than the .50 with less recoil.

Was working on a LONG range varmint round, .460Wtby necked down to .17.
Had a 30" .17 blank. Never barrelled the rifle. The cases were a PITA to load.
