Based on the reviews I've read, The movie strays from the Biblical story. Who's Job? WHOSE Job? I will not engage in this guessing game. The scripture is plain and simple. I feel that this is a Hollywood conspiracy to undermine the truth. I will NOT be seeing this movie. Nice try, Hollywood.

Partly... in the absence of the government you can need protections from the corporations as well. This is why unions were started. I do agree with you in that I think the biggest threat by far is the government.

But ultimately, even unions are people protecting themselves. You don't like the working conditions, you quit working. If they are bad enough to merit everyone quitting, you may get some changes.

Today's union is nothing more than another type of corporate entity riding on the back of the worker, lobbying government to their own ends and benefit, all in search of the almighty dollar.

I inherited some land. Sold it to a company called Catholic Health Initiative. St. Joes Hospital now sits on that land, along with about a dozen Offices. That was my "lot of money".

Next I Payed close attention when we were negotiating a Union Contract, overheard a conversation about expanding the Company (UCI) and eventually build a water treatment plant. I attended a city council meeting that Charles *******(CEO of UCI) attended an inquired about buying some vacant city property.

I did a little research, found some land with old factories on it that was close to the Schuylkill river. I bought that land for change. I sold it to a overseas owned corporation (INDEVCO) Which happens to own UCI. I held on to a small tract, right next to the river. When the time was right, I sold it, again to UCI, to build a waste water treatment plant. The sale of this land made me a whole Lotta money.

The only break I've ever gotten in my life was marrying my wife. Her dad inherited the land, made me promise to sell it, then died, leaving me the land. All the rest was just a dumb Okie, paying attention and using my gift of reason.

So Hoov, clue me in. Did I use this "capitalistic market" ? Are you still drawing that paycheck? Let's hear your story of how your using this great market. I've laid mine out.

That was a pretty huge break, you inherited the foundation of you wealth. Nothing wrong with that, but not quite the same as earning it. The rest of us are using this capitalistic market to earn an honest middle class living by trading skills or goods for money.

Just think, if we were a socialists society, you would still be working for a living while I enjoyed your inheritance.

I would agree, the factors of production are land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship. People who chose to be labor do not have the right to blame other people, when they had the option to be human capital.
The biggest threat to this country is apathy of the people, not the government.

I think the biggest break you got was being born in a nation which allowed you do the horse trading you did. Or, it may have been living in a nation that allowed you to own your land, and the government did not just seize it for the hospital or water treatment plant. Well if those are A+B then they equal you live in a nation based on a free market and limited government.

Selling anything for a profit and using that money to invest, build, or create is the heart of free capitalism. The government would own you and yours and let you use it for what they wanted in any other system.

Is it evil for a man to start a retail business to support his family and then grow it into something that puts millions of people to work at their own free will and provides goods that the people want at the most affordable price possible. I've never seen an employee chained to a cash register.
I can and will tell my employer to get bent any time I want if I fell it necessary.

Who's job is it?
Mine. I WILL protect, provide, and take responsibility for myself and my family.
