Ask yourself how many people need to hear that and has no knowledge of what to do.

I had a shake my head ask why moment.

Same news stations who drive around and report the slick roads from rain, like its a blizzard? "Operation Slick Streets".

It's a sign of how helpless some people are these days. They cannot think for themselves, I can't imagine what we are going to do in another war. Many will die but others will learn alon the way and live.

Thanks to this thread I remembered to put the covers on my faucets.

But I can guarantee that someone dies during n this cold snap from using a charcoal grill in the house to keep warm.

Me too! I did spend a few hours today tidying up outside. The home we are in now has been down to -11 with no issues. Never had a water freeze issue in any home except the first one, one time, our first home long ago.

I did stay up that night when -11 was hitting. I say stayed up, I got up every couple hours and measured water temps at the farthest place in the home that had water. The one I am remodeling currently next door has been to -3, but I have it drained when I Re plumbed it.

I think next they'll tell us to wear helmets when they predict hail. (Don't for get to wear shoulder pads as well!)

Then they'll tell us to wear jock straps when shoveling snow so you don't drop a nut.
