I have had generally poor results with Winchester Brass. I have several "improved" chamberings, one of which is .257 Roberts Ackley Impr'd. Virgin winchester brass was fireformed, reloaded one time, half the case mouths split. My remington brass seems to be doing better. The shortage of .257 Roberts brass may dictate that I have to buy it again. I will anneal before fire-forming and again before I reload. Any suggestions on this aspect of Winchester brass? I am especially concerned because only Winchester makes brass for my Mod. 71, .348.
