It's a shame that the breed is the one that suffers, and it may not be fair. The worlds not fair, this breed "UNTRAINED" attack's it does not bite, it attacks. If that was my dog(and I love animals) it would already have a bullet in it's head. I'm sorry if your a Pitt lover, I really am but the BREED need's to be done away with. Not one dog of any breed is worth a child. Period. This happens way too much and enough is enough.

I say get rid of all pitbulls!!!

I've owned a few pitbulls. Most of the time its not the pitbulls that are just inherently evil it's their owners that are mean to them or teach them to be mean. They are really loving animals, the worst that any of mine would do would be lick you to death. A Golden Retriever can be just as mean, so can a chihuahua. I would much rather get rid of chihuahuas then pitbulls. It's tragic that attacks happens to children or anyone for that matter, but it's the owners fault not the dogs. I do agree that dogs that attack, pitbull or other wise should be put down. I would do the same if it were one of my animals.

I find it kind of wierd on how all these attacks are just the owners fault? That either says worthless dead beats own the majority of pittbulls, or worthless deadbeats dont want other dogs just pittbulls. i dont see labrador attacks on the tv week in and week out, most all those owners must be stand up citizens. Or the news is just trying to give these dogs a bad name because they ran out of material for that segment.

You guys are joking right? This is the same logic that says "Well, people die of bullet wounds, so guns must be bad! Ban all guns!"

In both cases, it's the owner, not the equipment. Pitbulls just happen to be the .50 BMG of the dog world.

Not an apples to apples comparision, but I understand your thoughts. People with limited mental resources seem to have the same thought processes, and then they deem to call the breed stupid....

i better go chain down my AR it might run outside jump a 6 foot fence and chase the family into a home!! really?? BAN PITBULLS!!!!

Buy a chocolate lab, youll throw rocks at those worthless pitbulls!!

I raised Pits, Dobies, and Rotts for years, had 2 Labs as pets, had to put both of them down due to agression. In all fairness, I did have to put down one Dobie as well. So I guess we should ban all Labs based on my experiences?

was this dog papered? blood test confirm it was pit bull? nope I doubt it. Quite often unknown breeds are labeled as pits.

I remember rotts being the breed to fuss over in the 90s, now it's pits. I can introduce you to pits that aren't mine that are gentle and sweet - they might bark and be intimidating but wouldn't attack if you beat the snot out of them

Because of difficulties inherent in determining a dog’s breed with certainty, enforcement of breed-specific ordinances raises constitutional and practical issues. Fatal attacks represent a small proportion of dog bite injuries to humans and, therefore, should not be the primary factor driving public policy concerning dangerous dogs. Many practical alternatives to breed-specific ordinances exist and hold promise for prevention of dog bites.

Please continue to show ignorance regarding the breed.
