On a side note, among all the $40-ish running shoes at Academy, the Sauconys are the most comfortable by far, with a distance second to New Balance. I tried them all on before buying. Sauconys blew away all the others (Nike, Puma, Adidas, younameit). Sure they're made in Asia too, though. Whaddryagonnado?

Excactly, I wanted the Sauconys, but they were made in China, and the Nikes were made in Vietnam, my previous Nikes were made in Malaysia.

Sure, somethings made in China might make sense, but what happened to "spreading the wealth"? :rotflmao:

It's a sad situation we live in today. It is dang near impossible to purchase anything that isn't made in China. I think stores like Bass Pro could sell more goods to people like us if they had a Made in USA section in their store. They certainly wouldn't need much space!

I have started my hunting clothing/gear shopping at online sites in Germany. You can find some nice things if you google search "Jagdbekleidung" on google.de, google chrome will automatically translate most of the words.

How do you get around it.
Until they quit hiring illegals, we are doomed to patronize those places.
I'm with you, I would rather spend a few (maybe more) dollars to support American businesses, as long as they keep the jobs here.

I do my best NOT to patronize these places. Even had to quit eating at McDonalds in OKC. They should just rename it Santionalds. Very few English speakers work there anymore. It's a shame.

This got me to doing a little looking, and heck, not only are the MiO, but they're pretty affordable too.
